Leuven (Belgium), February 13, 2020 – Inmanta will support the BICS automation journey with its cutting-edge intent-based service orchestrator, based on a multi-year agreement signed in the last quarter of 2019.

Following a successful multi-use-case proof of concept in 2018/2019, BICS, a leading international communications enabler and part of the Proximus Group, has selected Inmanta’s service orchestrator for the end-to-end automation of its network services.

Yaunese Aazibou, CTIO of BICS, commented “We strongly believe that network automation will shape the future of our network, making it easier and more efficient to operate while delivering the best-in-class experience to our customers. The service orchestrator developed by Inmanta will help us in realizing this exciting transformation journey.”
“We are pleased to deliver to BICS a very powerful and innovative solution,” said Stefan Walraven, CEO of Inmanta. “It will help this leading international communications enabler to implement and execute its vision of the network of the future. Our customers value that Inmanta empowers them through our vendor-agnostic orchestration framework with intent-based modelling.”

In addition to the delivery of the software product, Inmanta, together with its partners, works with BICS as a team to implement and roll out the first orchestration use cases.

Inmanta Service Orchestrator is an award-winning end-to-end network and service automation solution which is envisioned to provide the following benefits to BICS:

  • faster time-to-market as service provisioning across multiple domains (network, cloud, NFV) can be fully automated
  • cost effectiveness and high productivity credits to Inmanta’s powerful modelling language
  • carrier-grade resilience via Inmanta’s unique self-healing intent-based mechanism
  • complete visibility and control over service delivery through end-to-end management
  • agility provided by Inmanta’s vendor-agnostic and open extensible framework

The Inmanta team had intended to demonstrate the innovative features of their orchestration product in several live demos at Mobile World Congress 2020 in Barcelona. However, this major event has been canceled. Nevertheless, in a month shortly, Inmanta will exhibit at MPLS+SDN+NFV World Congress in Paris. Not able to travel to Paris?
